I love to follow Nicole, the owner of Pomme Salon, on Instagram! She shares invaluable tips on hair health and I absolutely love the transparency of it all. Her honest recommendations about hair products are truly refreshing and in fact, I recently ordered some products based on her advice myself. With locations in Kelowna and Toronto, Pomme Salon offers the perfect opportunity to treat yourself to a fabulous hair makeover. If you're seeking exceptional salon services, I highly recommend checking them out! If you are outside of Kelowna and Toronto (like me!), we will have to stick with the hair products for now!
Province of Canada
Owned by a husband and wife duo, Province of Canada has truly been an immense source of inspiration for me. When I made the decision to manufacture our clothing in Canada, they were a brand that I admired greatly. Their commitment to producing every single product in Canada, just like us, sets them apart in the world. From their cozy collection of clothing to home goods, supporting them always brings me great joy.
You'd be surprised! This place isn't just about swimwear. Sure, their swimwear is practically iconic, worn by the likes of Kylie Jenner and Jennifer Lopez. But they've got an amazing collection of activewear too. And here's the best part - it all started with two best friends from Canada. Talk about a double win every time you shop if you value supporting women-owned brands!
A vegan cruelty-free beauty brand that uses sustainable packaging? You know they had to be included on this list. Founded by beauty influencers, these two women (Marianna and Lauren) tested almost every product imaginable and thought, you know what? We can do better. And they have. Additionally, their recycling program rewards you with a gift card when you return the packaging.
Last but not least (and honestly there are so many brands we would have loved to include on this list), we have Rare Beauty. Founded by Selena Gomez, this line of makeup is all about self-acceptance and helping people feel comfortable in their own skin. Their motto is “Makeup made to feel good in, without hiding what makes you unique” and honestly, I can’t wait to see how they continue to grow and inspire women everywhere.
Supporting Women-Owned Brands in 2023
In a world bustling with brilliant brands, the heartbeat of a business often comes down to the hands that sculpt it and the passion that drives it. Whether it's attire that complements every event in your calendar, haircare advice that elevates your tresses, or beauty products that underline your innate glow - these brands bring more than products; they bring stories of female audacity. We hope that by sharing these brands, we inspire our readers to seek out and support more women-led businesses. After all, when women uplift other women, incredible things happen. Thank you for supporting women-owned businesses!
